Almost to the top. I never thought this moment would come. I had seen pictures of the peak, but couldnt believe that we were that close.

Finally we reached the peak!! Group picture with our guides, whom, we couldnt have made it to the top. They were nice enough to carry our day packs too, as it was just to much towards the end.

That was how quickly the weather changed on us...time b/w the 2 pics. It started snowing and hailing in a matter of minutes.
Also, we reached the peak at 7:30am on Dec 23rd 2006.

What a sense of accomplishment!!! We head down to Kibo Huts, which tooks us 3 hours and where we rested for an hour and then headed down to Harombo huts...all in the same day.

We spend the night at Harombo and head all the way down to Marangu gate, which is where we started from. It was really hard on your knees coming down.
