We spent one day in Lima and headed to the temple of Pachacamac is an archaeological site 40 km southeast of Lima, Peru in the Valley of the Lurn River. Wasn't one of the more interesting ruins we went to.

The San Pedro cactus contains entheogenic substances used in the aboriginal religions of the Americas, the use of the hallucinogenic San Pedro cactus is ancient and its use has been a continuous tradition in Peru for over 3,000 years and is still used till today in the north of Peru.

We walked back to downtown Lima and there happened to be a parade on. Like how we have the Macy's parade in NYC, this was sponsered by a Chinese Department store. Loads of people came out.
